Although Zomato hasn't made an official announcement regarding the service, it is currently active on the Zomato app.
A new "15-minute delivery" option has been introduced in the explore section of the Zomato app. Similar to Swiggy's Bolt, this feature showcases a selection of quick-preparation and ready-to-eat meals from partnered restaurants. However, in contrast to Bolt's well-known 10-minute delivery commitment, Zomato promises a 15-minute timeframe for delivery. According to the restaurants featured on the app, Zomato is also delivering from establishments located within a 2-kilometer distance.
This development follows the launch of 'Bistro' by Zomato's rapid delivery service, Blinkit. Although Bistro is not yet operational, its website promises to offer 'healthy juices, snacks, and meals' delivered within minutes.
In October, Swiggy introduced Bolt and mentioned in its Q2 earnings report that 5% of its total delivery orders were already being fulfilled through Bolt.
Ola has introduced a rapid food delivery service named Ola Dash in Bengaluru, aimed at delivering meals in just 10 minutes. The company is currently working on expanding this service across the country.
Zepto also introduced a dedicated app for Zepto Cafe, citing significant demand that justifies the need for a separate platform.
