It seems we’re not alone in our admiration, as the chain is rapidly expanding with new locations popping up everywhere.

What’s Driving Trader Joe’s Expansion?
There’s definitely demand from consumers who live in areas that don’t have a Trader Joe’s nearby. So, the company is responding by giving people what they want. “We're adding lots of stores,” said Tara Miller, vice president of marketing, in an Inside Trader Joe’s podcast episode from last year. “We are growing at a pretty good rate right now, adding more and more stores.” The chain is on track to have over 600 stores this year.

Trader Joe’s opened 34 locations in 2024. Thirteen of those locations were opened in December alone. These are the stores which opened at the end of 2024, according to Supermarket News.
