It stated: "The product poses a significant risk of injury since it fails to offer adequate protection to the user in case of an accident."
Since then, the product has been returned by consumers.

The OPSS stated: "This product fails to offer adequate protection to the user in case of an accident, thus posing a significant risk to anyone utilizing it as personal protective equipment."
"The hoodie is not made of Kevlar, and its strong structural layers, essential for maintaining its integrity and protective features, failed to meet the necessary standards."
"The product fails to comply with the standards set by Regulation 2016/425 and the Personal Protective Equipment (Enforcement) Regulations 2018."
Lanehunters Ltd has issued a recall for the product, and the OPSS has offered guidance to UK residents on the steps to take if they possess it.

It was announced that Lanehunters Ltd has initiated a recall of the product from consumers. Users are urged to cease usage of the product right away and to reach out to Lanehunters Ltd to process a refund.
