During its initial regular meeting of 2025 on Wednesday, the Ketchikan Gateway School Board will be presented with the budget proposal for fiscal year 2026.
In a message to the Daily News on Friday afternoon, Daniel Schuler, the Business Manager for the Ketchikan School District, announced that his upcoming budget presentation would utilize a method that the district previously employed several years ago. He plans to guide the board through different funding scenarios, beginning with the current funding formula without any increments, and progressing to various anticipated funding increases.
