Riley Keough is sharing how her late mom, Lisa Marie Presley, reacted to the time she got arrested as a teenager.
The Daisy Jones & the Six star appeared on the January 15 episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast where she opened up about how her famous mom responded to her "edgy" phase when she was younger, per E! News. Keough explained that she had a "rebellious moment" as a teenager — something she said she had in common with her mother — where she would "sneak out and hang out with people I shouldn't, wasn't allowed to, and getting arrested."
Regarding the legal issues she faced, Keough revealed that she got into trouble for "breaking and entering" during a party she mistakenly believed was being held at a friend's home when she was approximately 16 years old.
"I attended a gathering at what I thought was my friend's place, but it turned out to be a property on the market," she recounted. "The police showed up, and while most managed to escape, around 10 of us ended up getting arrested."
Keough recounted that her mother was quite "angry" when she received a call from her while she was in jail, particularly since Lisa Marie was in Las Vegas and unable to come to her aid. Thankfully, she managed to arrange for another family member to assist her.
"She was really angry!" she remembered. "She said, 'You brought this on yourself, girl.'"
The Under the Bridge actress said she was lucky her arrest "wasn't in the papers" but that doesn't mean she went without punishment, revealing, "I was grounded for like three months, and I was grounded on my 16th or 15th birthday or something."
